Lamma delights 262 - solar eclipse

Manual mode; No filter because of the clouds.

Heavy clouds at 5: 41 am (sunrise). Fortunately clouds started to clear (from the south and then extend to teh east) around 6:25 am. By 6:35 am, the sky had clouds and the sun was lighting up the clouds from behind. By 6: 48 am, the sun emerged from the clouds! At 7:20 a.m. near Pokfulum and then at Central, the clouds grew thicker again and the sun could not be seen.

本港昨日下午連場暴雨，新界東尤甚，至近傍晚才停止，西面密雲散去，黃昏時段夕陽冒出頭來，將天空染金，再而逐步轉黃、橙，日落前西面上空通紅。約6時許，一道又高又大的彩虹，驟然出現，屯門、西九及維港都可看到，部份地區更看到這道雨後彩虹，其上帶有一道顏色較淡的副虹。不少市民對這雙彩虹譁然，紛紛拍下相片上載至 facebook。天文台預測今日繼續多雲，有零散驟雨和幾陣雷暴，天氣明起開始轉好，本周中期大致天晴，周末天色又轉差。Apple Daily 20 May 2012

The RV Sonne (German for 'Sun') is a former fishing trawler converted into a research vessel, doing mostly geoscience-related work for a variety of commercial and scientific clients.

Sonne was built by Rickmers Werft in 1969 as a stern trawler and delivered to Hochseefischerei Nordstern. Her homeport was Bremerhaven and she was mainly active in the waters around Iceland, Greenland and Labrador.

An order worth Euro 124.4 millions for a new geoscientific research ship was placed with Neptun Werft, Rostock in May 2011. The new ship will be named Sonne as well and replace the current ship in 2015.

Costa Victoria - In 2004 the ship got an extensive rebuilt, in which a total of 246 balconies were added to the accommodations on decks 9, 10 and 11, which is a first for an existing cruise ship. She was also fitted with an extension of the buffet terrace and adding promenades on Deck 11.
